The GCX Inshore features premium Fuji reel seats, an optimized SeaGuide guide train and premium cork handles. G. Loomis uses its Multi-Taper technology in the GCX, giving what is known as “micro-tapers” that run throughout the blank. More material is used in certain key areas to provide extra strength for potential breakpoints and less material in non-essential areas. This unique process is done with a custom rolling table and is proprietary to G. Loomis. A beefed-up resin system also aids in its impact resistance, delivering a workhorse option for everyday use.
